MariMUN 2026 is coming soon
━━━━━━━━━ We can’t wait to see you soon ━━━━━━━━━
Letter from our secretary general
Dear Delegates, Faculty Advisors, Staffers, Chairs and partners,
It is with the biggest honor that I welcome you all, on behalf of the entire Secretariat, to the 39th iteration of the Marianopolis Model United Nation Conference. I am certain that this edition will find its place within the continued tradition of diplomacy and cooperation that MariMUN stands for. I am thrilled for all of you to join us in February for what promises to be a memorable experience for all.
MariMUN strives to enable young leaders to address the most pressing issues of our contemporary world, either by turning ourselves towards the past, or looking ahead into the future. Our goal is centered on the notion that Model United Nation is more than just speeches and resolution writing, but rather a forum through which solutions to all-too-real problems can be addressed.
As reflected in our committees, topics, and awards, the values of determination, innovation, diversity and peacemaking are the pillars that hold up diplomacy, whether in these circles as in the real world. As you prepare for the conference, I encourage you to think critically and explore thoroughly the subjects you will address, as well as bring your unique perspectives to the characters and countries you will represent. MariMUN is above all a space to learn and grow, so don’t be afraid to try new things. Take advantage of the relationships you may build along the way, talk to the delegates, staffers, chairs, and secretariat members you meet while attending our social, because you never know when you’ll run into them again (chances are at another conference !).
My final message to incoming delegates is to always keep an open mind, you’ll be surprised to see the possibilities and opportunities that will open up.
I would like to extend my deepest thanks to all the staffers, chairs, faculty and of course my amazing secretariat. Without each and everyone of you, this conference would simply not be possible. I look forward to meeting all of you in February.
If you ever have any questions, you can always contact me at secretary-general@marimun.org.
Sincerely,
Belinda Song Guan Secretary-General, MariMUN 2026
