United Against Crime: Addressing INTERPOL’s 21st Century Challenges

Founded in 1923, INTERPOL, an international organization, facilitates worldwide police cooperation and crime control. INTERPOL’s 196 member countries all contribute to enabling police to share data on criminal activity between police forces. The Executive Committee, composed of 13 representatives from different continents, along with the support of experts, are charged with the assignment and supervision of the General Assemblies’ agenda and decisions. At MariMUN 2025, Delegates will explore INTERPOL's vital role in global law enforcement, focusing on its legal framework, operational structure, and international significance. Delegates will consider how to prevent political abuse of INTERPOL, and will debate the perils and advantages of technology within the organization.
